I love the 15ct gold mark This standard of gold was introduced in 1854 (along with 12 & 9ct) and was discontinued in 1932 (along with 12ct) and a new standard of 14ct was substituted. So if you have a piece marked 15ct you know it was made between those two dates. It weighs 11g and measures 1 (2.6cm) tip of nose to tail and is ¾ (2cm) tall.
I have found a little Victorian Box for it lined in Burgundy silk and velvet. It is not the original but from the same period. In excellent condition - originally had a safety chain (loupe on leg) but this is now gone - I can have one put on if required - just ask. Please Note: All Weights & Measures are Approximate. Unless otherwise stated, any dimensions and estimated weights of gemstones in this description have been determined without un-setting the stones and are, therefore, to be considered only as a probable because of limitations imposed by the mount. The item "ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BROOCH MODEL TERRIER / CORGI DOG 15CT SOLID GOLD SUPER QUALITY" is in sale since Friday, March 1, 2019.
